Distribution fitting in the software GSS

In the last article we learned basics about data distributions and why it is important to know how your data is distributed to perform statistical tests.

In this video tutorial we will show you how you can determine how your data is distributed in the statistics software GSS (Guided Statistics for Scientists), i.e. how to conduct distribution fitting. In GSS you can choose a variety of distribution functions for distribution fitting: normal, log-normal, exponential, Weibull, gamma, Poisson and many more. We also show you how to fit several distributions at once and how to perform distribution tests, such as Kolmogorov-Smirnov or Shapiro-Wilks test. Additionally, we show how to conduct so-called cumulative distribution fitting in GSS.
